The great power of our mind and body to balance and heal itself has become much more widely recognised, studied and utilised over recent years. Although of course the power has always been there.
Mindfulness meditation techniques for example are now offered by an increasing number of companies and organisations to their employees. This therapy is shown to help people suffering from overwhelm, stress and even depression, and highlights how integral a role our thoughts & minds play in our overall wellbeing.
Reiki energy healing may currently seem more ‘woo-woo’ than mindfulness (to many at least), but in fact both have now become more recognised and practised as complementary treatments within many hospitals and other areas of the NHS.
Could perhaps the next great scientific discovery be that the human body has far more potential and power to heal itself than any man-made drug?
What Is Reiki Energy Healing?
Science has proved that, when stripped back to its absolute core, EVERYTHING is just energy. There is actually no substance, or ‘matter’, as we perceive there to be. Reiki is the ‘tapping into’ and ‘channelling’ of this universal life force energy which is not only all around us, but IS us.
Reiki aims to help the flow of energy in the body and remove blocks which may have arisen from a physical injury, or even an emotional trauma. Improving the flow of energy around the body can enable relaxation, reduce pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of physical or emotional illness.
Energy healing has been around for thousands of years, but its current form, which we know as Reiki, was first discovered and developed in 1922 by a Japanese Buddhist called Mikao Usui. The first people he taught to channel this energy initially did so to benefit from performing healing upon themselves. Many then went onto learn how to practise it to help others – and this is still the way it’s taught today.
Whilst energy healing is usually applied by the ‘laying on of hands’ on a one to one basis with the patient, the treatment can also be given to groups and even sent remotely.
There are a number of different types of Reiki with probably the four most widely known being; Usui Reiki (the original), Kuruna Reiki, Kundalini Reiki and Holy Fire Reiki. The latter is one of the most recent evolutions and is described as “coming from a higher level of consciousness, noticeably more refined and very powerful, yet gentle and loving.”

Rob has been practicing Reiki since 2016.
After studying to level 2, Practitioner level, a friend introduced him to Kundalini Reiki, and perhaps more importantly to the fact that there are many types of Reiki. He learnt both Usui & Kundalini Reiki to Master level by early 2017 and then embarked upon a search of different Reiki types, and to learn as much as he could about Reiki.
This search was mainly focused on self-healing and self-improvement, but always had an underlying theme of wanting to help others.
By the middle of the year he had been ‘attuned’ to Master level for a number of different types of Reiki including, but not limited to: Ascension Reiki, Lavender Flame Reiki, Silver Violet Flame Reiki, New Usui Reiki and a number of others. But none of these quite hit the mark in terms of what he was searching for.
All of that changed however when he attended a residential course in July 2017 to learn Holy Fire Reiki.
The course was lifechanging and was also the answer to his ongoing quest of discovering Reiki. The Holy Fire energy was somehow different. It had a profound effect on Rob and a number of mental / emotional blocks were shifted deep within him
He also recognised that what he had learnt on the course was revolutionary from a Reiki perspective. For instance, he had learnt techniques that would allow a whole group of people to be treated simultaneously. In 2019 Robert added Psychic Surgery and more recently Angelic Reiki to his repertoire of energy healing Treatments.
Since 2018 he has also established himself as a passionate and respected Reiki teacher who regularly receives very positive feedback from his students.
Liz originally embarked upon her Reiki path in January 2017 with the specific focus of being able to help Robert who was suffering from depression and anxiety.
To start with she had no real desire to use Reiki beyond this, and that remained the case for over 12 months. But then her passion for Reiki was ignited when Rob ‘attuned’ her to Holy Fire & Usui Level 2.
Not long after that she discovered a new Reiki treatment called doAROMA Reiki and following that soon became a Holy Fire Reiki Master.
Liz is a Holy Fire and Holy Fire Karuna Reiki Master Practitioner, a Reflexologist and Chakradance Facilitator.
Together Rob & Liz have founded Reiki Unbounded™ to formally treat people and to spread the word of Reiki through events, workshops, forums and to teach anyone who is interested in learning Reiki.
What is Holy Fire Reiki?
If you attend one of my courses then you will be attending a course that has Holy Fire Reiki as its backbone. Even the Usui Reiki Level 1 and 2 courses that I teach are delivered using Holy Fire tools. So, it’s only natural that you should want to know what Holy Fire Reiki is, and why you should invest your time, money and energy in learning this form of Reiki.
